Part of my practice as an Artist is being an Educator. For me, it is my responsibility to educate and empower my students, in pursuit of three primary learning goals:
confront misconceptions about what art "is" versus what art "can be"
encourage a long lasting, sustainable relationship with creating - whether my students go on to serve as teachers, academic leaders or commercial artists
to think critically about historical contexts and how those contexts shape our current views of the world.
